Salesforce Marketing Cloud September 2016 Release Highlights

Salesforce has released a massive update for Marketing Cloud, here are some of the highlights:

Journey Builder

  • simplified dashboard and canvas with easy point-and-click experience,
  • consolidated actions,
  • improved navigation with color-coded icons.

Journey Builder is the first Marketing Cloud app to implement Lightning experience. With Marketing Cloud Lightning experience, Journey Builder gives you the power to launch a journey quickly, based on virtually any customer data. You can also select an audience and schedule when to inject that audience into a journey.

Email Builder

With this release you can send a test email to a sendable test data extension. The new Test Data Extensions tab appears on the Test Send tab in the Preview and Test step. Select a test data extension from the Subscriber selector grid and send a test email to all subscribers within the data extension.

Web Studio

This release lets CloudPage users create a landing page using the new Content Builder editor. Create the landing page from within CloudPages using the Content Builder editor selection.

Content Builder

Content Builder now lets users quickly set or change styles for the entire template or email, including mobile styles. Global Styling for Templates and Emails provides an assortment of settings you can personalize to fit the look and feel of your brand. If you use global styling for a template, you can also lock and unlock styling features. This lets you create restrictions for certain style elements of your template.

Automation Studio

With Lightning Activities, you can create and manage all of your marketing automation from one central location. This new features also gives you the ability to create, edit, copy, delete, and run any activity.
