Some interesting new features are:

  • Journey Builder

In this release, the Salesforce Marketing Cloud focused on improving the event user experience and completed some behind-the-scenes work that prepares Journey Builder for some big changes over the next few months.

They continue to focus on simplification of their terminology and user experience and made changes to the following areas:

    • Addition of a schedule to the setup wizard
    • Updates to terminology
    • Improvements to the step-by-step wizard to make it more intuitive.

The new schedule section of the event setup wizard allows you to define how frequently your data source is checked for new data. This also eliminates the extra step of going to Automation studio to add the Fire Event activity.

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Connector

The below new features become available in v 5.41. You can download the new Marketing Cloud Connector package here. Update to this new version to gain access to these new features. Please note that this upgrade applies only to customers using v 5.0 or higher.

    Dynamic Send Preview

The new Dynamic Send Preview feature expands on the existing email previewing functionality. Preview emails with dynamic, personalized content using real contact or lead data before ever sending an email. The dynamic preview renders as the end subscriber will see it, giving Sales Cloud users the confidence that they will send the right email to the right person and that all personalization and dynamic content will render as intended.

    PreviewEmailOptions

Salesforce also improved user assistance instructions in the interface. This release includes initial updates to your user experience, and look for more improvements in upcoming releases.
