Selected highlights from Salesforce Marketing Cloud Lightning and the May 2016 release:
Email Studio and Content Builder Open Beta
The open beta became available starting May 23. All customers can access this product. But, because this product is in beta, you will encounter a few limitations. Please verify that Content Builder is the right fit for you. More info here.
The Marketing Cloud Mobile App
This app lets you run your marketing programs from your iPhone or iPad. Download it from the Apple App Store (it’s free) and log in with your Marketing Cloud credentials. Track email, journey, and automation performance. View key metrics like email opens and click or journey activities. It also has a calendar feature and it enables you to share your results through text, email, or other channels like Slack or Hipchat. More info here.
Encrypted Data Sending (EDS) Support
Lets you synchronize encrypted data in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud and use this information in messages in the Marketing Cloud. All customers using Data Stream capabilities to bring encrypted Salesforce CRM data into Marketing Cloud can now enable EDS permissions in the Marketing Cloud, to automatically identify encrypted fields from the Salesforce CRM (Classic or Platform Encryption) and re-encrypt those fields in Marketing Cloud.
Predictive Recommendations Self-Service Web Tag and Catalog Setup
This release upgrades the setup wizard for Predictive Recommendations. The new experience (which appears only for first-time users just getting started) enables configuration of the catalog and web tracking code without the need for a technical background. System-generated messages with instructions for client developers or marketers will help keep things moving and serve as reminders to complete outstanding work. Learn more here.
